After dominating all comers through the group stage of the tournament Gepps Cross only fell to Richmond, the team they then had to play in the first semi final. The story was different this time around as the strong Gepps Cross team managed to overcome Richmond. The victory came at a price though with star player and best on ground Mariel Kecher going down with what looked to be an ankle injury late in the second half.

Gepps Cross win came from the boot of the talented Kecher who created opportunity after opportunity and banged home two goals in a tour de force.
