Victory over FC Collingwood last week saw Whittlesea FC claim the 2016 Series Futsal Victoria Youth title with two rounds to spare.
After an exceptional 14 wins and only three losses, Whittlesea FC has provided many moments of brilliance, but according to the team, their victory has come down to the friendship from within the playing group.
Leading Whittlesea player Burak Tamcan credits his team’s fantastic season to the close-knit nature of the squad.
“It’s the friendship in the team and we always play with heart,” Tamcan told SeriesFutsal.com.
“We always play for each other, which is why we have come up with the results.
“It’s good to win the league with two weeks to go. We can now enjoy the last two games.”
Whittlesea takes on Pascoe Vale FC at 9:45pm tonight.
