The mid-season transfer window is open and at least three teams have jumped to bolster their player stocks ahead of the second-half of the 2016/17 Series Futsal Victoria season.

Premiership contenders Brunswick has secured the services of Matthew Vragovski, who has left Fitzroy to return ‘home’.

Despite having never played for Brunswick, the red squad is now brimming full of players from his ex-team Vic Vipers players – the club that abandoned the Series Futsal competition two seasons ago.

Ashburton has scored the services of Vincenzo Musico, who has experience with Pascoe Vale and more recently Hampton FC in the State League 1 competition.

The player transfer window for all elite leagues close this week.

Brunswick captain Antonis Apostolakis says that he is pleased to have Vragovski back with familiar faces.

“We obviously have a strong link with Vic Vipers FC, of whom Matty Vragovski is a key player,” Apostolakis told SeriesFutsal.com.

“The allure for Matty of playing with some of his long term team mates like Christos (Apostolakis), Adam (Cooper) and Kui Mu obviously played a part.

“I have played with him before in other tournaments and I know first hand the quality he has to bring to the table.

“This season has proven more than ever, that the league has levelled out amongst the top four-five teams and we felt Matty would play a big part in helping us challenge at the right end of the ladder.”

Round 10 of Series Futsal Victoria is set to be another cracker, with French freestyle footballer Sean Garnier making his second appearance for Fitzroy, who take on Balwyn this week.

The round will also feature Metropolitan FC legend Alija Redzepovic’s 300th Series Futsal game as his team takes on the all-conquering Pascoe Vale FC.
