New sponsor and logo ushers in fresh era for Fitzroy FC


Fitzroy FC will enter the 2017 Series Futsal Victoria premiership with a new major sponsor and a brand-new logo.

Club captain Fernando de Moraes and outstanding young guns Scott Rogan and Cosimo Russo showed off the three new kits as part of a multi-year partnership with sports apparel retailer Ultra Football.

The new major sponsorship is the biggest in the club’s history, seeing the 2010 champion club decked out with three uniform variations – the club’s traditional yellow tops and blue shorts, with new white tops acting as the ‘away’ kit.

Fitzroy will also have a third kit – pink top and dark blue shorts – as an alternate ‘clash’ strip.

Ultra Football’s sales and marketing manager Michael Hodgson is pleased with the new association with the famous Fitzroy club.

“Ultra Football is excited to be a part of the Fitzroy Futsal Club for 2017 and beyond,” said Hodgson.

“Futsal is booming in this country and we wanted to jump in with one of the premier clubs in Australia.

“We’re rapt with the new look for the team – the uniforms look great and it adds a new level of professionalism to an already slick outfit.”

De Moraes, the captain of Fitzroy and a former Futsalroo will make his full-time return to the court in 2017 after a year-long recovery from injury.

The Brazilian legend is over the moon with the new sponsorship deal – and the sharp new club logo.

“The partnership with Ultra Football is a landmark deal for Fitzroy and for the Series Futsal premiership,” de Moraes said.

“Never before have we seen a company invest like this in a club, so we are honoured to represent Ultra Football.

“And the new logo is a very modern twist on our old logo. I am so proud to pull on these jerseys.”

Fitzroy will debut its new look tomorrow night at the Thomastown Futsal Oz Stadium against reigning Foz Cup champions Hume FC at 9pm.
