CF Brunswick has revealed the club’s fresh new look, including the establishment of its team member’s own clothing brand.

Inspired by the new brand partnership agreement with top line clubs, AKU Team Wear was created by Brunswick team leader Ruz Roslan.

Pronounced “Ah-Koo,” the new brand will offer its athleisure wear to the public, allowing for customisation of their collar, sleeves, fit and design in each garment.

The new home and away CF Brunswick kits are the first of the new brand’s team wear, while other futsal teams have already signed up to wear the team’s new custom-designed range.

Roslan says that the creation of AKU was a combination of his passion for fitness, futsal, soccer and fashion.

“As Futsal Oz and Series Futsal opened up brand partnerships in 2017, the Brunswick leadership team and I met with a number of established brands to discuss a potential partnership agreement,” he explained.

“After a number of meetings, we were unable to find a brand we could align to. At that stage, AKU was in the early stages of creating athleisure and after discussion with my AKU team and Brunswick leadership, AKU made a decision to branch into team wear and form AKU Team Wear.

“I approached Futsal Oz founder Peter Parthimos and he simply asked me two questions “Are you passionate about this?” and “Do you believe in what you’re doing?” and in no more than 5 minutes and a handshake, the AKU and Futsal Oz partnership was formed.”

Roslan says that he is happy with the final product and says that the kits have been designed with style and player comfort in mind.

“We refuse to conform to the traditions of a team wear or active wear brand,” he said.

“The team and I worked closely with our partner teams to make sure they have a kit that they feel truly represents them, from the customisation of their collar, sleeves, fit and design, and of course we throw in our own unique spin of street style too. The intention is to make a jersey that our athletes can proudly wear on the court, but can be equally worn on the streets.

“We’ve formed partnerships with a number of teams both in the Series Futsal elite leagues and social teams and we’re proud for these teams to represent us in the coming season, as well as Brunswick this coming week.

“As we stabilise our team wear operations, we’ll then look to release our off court athleisure gear late this year, from our unique tech material tracksuits, scooped tees, snapbacks and hoodies, all customisable for our athletes to represent both AKU and their teams proudly.”
