The last of our catch up games saw Fitzroy face Carlton, with the winner to get within three points of ladder leaders Westside. Fitzroy opened the scoring through Sarah Richardson early, before doubling the advantage through a Stacey Papadopoulos strike. Richardson then got her second of the game to double the advantage, before Ebru Efe tapped home at the back post to give Fitzroy a commanding 4-0 lead at the half time break.

Carlton came out having to overturn a four goal deficit and pulled one back through a Rebecca Davies rocket. The lead was extended again though as Papadopoulos got her second of the game. Richardson would then find the net a further three times to end the game with a match high five goals as Fitzroy take a much needed win to remain a shot at the title.
