Recap
Balwyn’s loss streak was broken last week and they will be looking to continue that as they head into their exciting match against Fitzroy. Fitzroy will be hoping to break their streak of two losses in a row as they come into the clash.
Balwyn came out of the blocks firing as soon as the game started scoring straight away to put Fitzroy on the back foot. The early pressure put on by Balwyn proved too much for Fitzroy who looked sluggish. Balwyn followed their opening goal with two more quick goals to leave their opponents in a tough spot at three goals to none. Fitzroy found some fight and managed to find the back of the net with a good team goal. But it was quickly negated as Balwyn scored again. As the half time buzzer sounded Fitzroy looked to be in strife.
The second half looked much better for Fitzroy as they held most of the possession and where able to open up Balwyn for some chances on goal. Despite their vast number of shots Fitzroy where unable to put the ball in the back of the net. Most of the half played like this until Fitzroy brought on a fifth man and managed to score two late goals. But these goals proved too little too late as Balwyn ran out winners.
