Recap
The last instalment of Series Futsal action for Round 15 saw Hume look to bounce back into third place, while Balwyn looked to keep Pascoe Vale’s title hopes at bay for another week. The game started off with Robert Armellini scoring after a few minutes of play as he was found by Andrea Zaccone before sliding his shot home into the bottom left corner. it was soon two for Balwyn when Salvi Michele was on hand to tap home from close range. Moe Matar then finished from the edge of the area to get Hume on the score board, before soon adding his second with a well taken free kick. Resit Culculoglu then put The Black Army in front when his initial shot was spilled by Castavan and he was on hand to bury the rebound. Balwyn responded soon after, however, as Michele was on hand to finish off another tap in to level the scores. Just before half time, Armellini would finish into the bottom left corner to have his side leading at the break.
The second half saw Oscar Magrina open proceedings with a cheeky first touch flick past Chappell, that went in off the under side of the cross bar. Culculoglu stepped up again as he blasted an effort home to have Hume back within one, before Valerio Celenza finished off a some good ball work from Balwyn to restore their two goal buffer. Matar then stepped up big time fro his side as he managed to find the back of the net twice in a matter of minutes to level things up once more. With the game tied at 6-6 Balwyn played the very bold strategy of playing 5th man, and it back fired as Ahmed Azzam picked up the loose ball before scoring from inside his own half. Balwyn desperately pushed for an equaliser but to no avail as Hume wrapped up a massive three points.
