Balwyn have secured their second win in as many games to leave Hume at the bottom of the ladder after what was a fiery match that saw five goals and two red cards.

Balwyn took the lead twice, only to be pegged back both times by a resilient Hume side that was desperate to get their first win of the season.

But Balwyn were too strong going forward, exploiting Hume’s fragility in defence without Resit Culculoglu and Nejdet Sahin, scoring a third goal that was unanswered by the Black Army.

The match was marred by an all-out brawl in the final minute of play, with Balwyn’s Steve Castvan and Hume’s Ilhan Altuntas both seeing red cards for their parts in the fight.
