Series Futsal Victoria defending champions Pascoe Vale have won their first game in over two months, and the first of the season, as they fought off a resilient Brunswick.
The game was cagey at the early stages, but it soon turned into a shootout, with Pascoe Vale getting out to a 2-0 lead before Brunswick got one back to cut the lead in half going into the break.
Pascoe Vale showed shades of their old self in the second half, holding off a rampaging Brunswick to win their first game of the season.
Lucas Vaz was shown a controversial red card when Kui Mu accidentally pushed him into his teammate Antonis Apostolakis. The incident was completely accidental but it resulted in Apostolakis’ head bleeding heavily.
