Recap
Carlton Heart have come from behind to fight off fellow promoted side the Western Wolves.
The Wolves got out to an early 2-0 lead, like they did against Fitzroy last week, and like last week they were pegged back and the scores were level before half time.
The Wolves managed to find a third to regain the lead, and that is how it stayed going into the interval.
The second half was goal for goal, and after a chaotic period where four goals were scored in under two minutes, Carlton found themselves 5-4 up.
The Heart held the lead until the final whistle, holding off a resilient fightback from the Wolves, thanks in part to splendid displays by Ernie Simsek and Chaaban Rajab.
Man of the match: Chaaban Rajab (FC Carlton)
