Fitzroy have come back from behind to beat a resilient Metropolitan side on penalties.

The first half was goalless, before Metro opened the scoring in the early stages of the second half through Dino Redzepovic.

A wonderful through ball from Fernando De Moraes put Scott Rogan in on goal, and Rogan equalised for Fitzroy.

There were no more goals, despite both teams pouring players forward in the dying moments of the game, with Fitzroy going as fas deploying the fifth-man tactic.

Both keepers were exceptional in the penalty shootout, but ultimately it was Michael Chami and his Fitzroy side that were victorious, winning two-one on penalties.
