FC Carlton Heart have clinched their first Series Futsal Victoria championship by beating their nearest challengers Fitzroy by six goals to nil.

The Heart were in complete control in the first half, and they did not struggle for goals, despite missing their top goalscorer Ben Rigby, scoring three goals in the first half.

The second half was more physical than the first as Fitzroy tried to get back into the game, with Carlton conceding six fouls and giving away a ten-metre penalty.

Carlton keeper Nam Cao was on fire though, and he saved the resulting spot-kick from Fitzroy’s Scott Rogan.

Carlton wrestled back the momentum of the match and piled on the goals, ultimately running out comfortable victors.
