Brunswick have impressed caused a minor upset, rolling out an impressive performance to beat Moreland.

The first half was tight, with both teams cancelling each other out.

Both sides only managed one goal in the opening period, but the second half was much more action-packed.

Brunswick turned it on after the break, getting out to a four-one lead, courtesy of Matt Piga, who scored his first in the first half, and a second-half brace from Ruz Roslan.

It was a physical match, and with under two minutes left on the clock, Brunswick conceded their sixth foul of the half, which took Moreland to the ten-metre penalty spot.

Adam Cooper’s penalty was saved, but the rebound was headed in by Xavi Torres to give Moreland whiff of a comeback.

But ultimately they were unable to get back into the game as Brunswick secured a much-needed first win of the season.
