Carlton Heart have scraped past an impressive Preston side that can count themselves unlucky to come away from the game with nothing.

The match was deadlocked for the majority of the first half before Carlton scored a late goal to take a slender lead into the break.

The second half was just as tight until the last ten minutes where the match began to open up as some players’ legs started feeling heavy.

The Heart continued to hold off Preston, with the trailing team hitting the woodwork on multiple occasions in their pursuit of an equaliser.

Carlton keeper Charlotte Blake was in top form and she continuously found ways to stop Preston from getting the equaliser they so desperately craved.

As Preston continued to chase the game, Carlton punished them on the counter-attack, scoring three more goals, but letting in two.

It was a tight enthralling encounter all up and was a fitting way to end an action-packed round of futsal.
